Premiums and aides towards investments

Owners' premiums

  1. There are no premiums in races restricted to horses born and bred in France
  2. There are no premiums in National Hunt races
  3. In flat races, open to foreign bred horses and raced in France, owners of French bred horses or assimilated as such,  receive a premium when finishing in the first five ( on top of prize-money) of
    • 75% of prize-money for two-year-olds
    • 63 % of prize-money for three-year-olds
    • 48% of prize-money for four-year-olds and upwards

Breeders’ premium

IN FRANCE

  1. FLAT
    • 14% of prize-money and owners' premiums offered offered to winners and placed horses in open races.
    • 19% in races restricted to horses born and bred in France
    • 21% in races open to AQPS (Other than Thoroughbred) or Anglo-Arabs
    • there is no annual limit per horse
       
  2. NATIONAL HUNT
    • 15% of prize-money offered, in any race, to winners and placed horses receiving prize-money.

ABROAD

  1. FLAT
    • 10% for winners (and runners-up in group 1 races), in races worth at least 4 600 Euros in prizemoney
    • Annual limit per horse is: 15 000 Euros
       
  2. NATIONAL HUNT
    • 15% for winners and placed horses in races worth at least 4 600 Euros in prizemoney
    • Annual limit per horse is: 46 000 Euros

EXPORT

Qualifications for horses exported before the 1st of June as a yearling.

A horse born in France and exported permanently after the 1st of November of its year of birth, without having left France before that, is qualified to receive breeders’ premiums abroad, but is not qualified for premiums in French races run in France.
